Papertrey Ink November Blog Hop: warms my heart

Hello and Happy Saturday!  Today is the 25th of the month which means the Papertrey Ink blog hop!  Check out the gorgeous Fall Inspired photo:

It seems that I don’t have much when it comes to PTI fall supplies but I managed to design a card:

Let’s start at the top and work our way down.   I combined the oh so sweet, Nuts for You + Cozy Christmas sets.  I started off with a Tag Sale #3.  I stamped the sentiment from the Cozy Christmas set.  I adhered the cute acorn onto the thermos.  Can you tell that I did some speciality snipping on the squirrel so that he could hold onto the thermos?  I topped off the tag with some twine that I had in my stash.

The Linen & Canvas impression plate is a timeless tool, don’t you agree?  That Linen side is awesome and gives cards just the right amount of texture.

I can’t wait to hop around and be inspired.  Fall inspired cards are probably my favorites!

  1. You inspired me to pull out some of my PTI embossing plates– I went for the square on my other card (and my card used a Lil Inker die), but you were my train of thought. Love your little squirrel. Happy Saturday my friend… I am trying, very hard, to resist all this online enabling of crafty sales.

  2. What a sweet card Amy! love that little squirrel drinking from his handy thermos! Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! Julia xx

  3. This is as cute as can be Amy! I adore that little squirrel holding his thermos of full of something nutty, I'm sure. Cute! Cute!

  4. O M G… this is awesome!! I really really want that thermos set and that little squirrel is so adorable! So funny because when I went to go to your blog, it took me to an old old post and I didn't realize it so I commented there … and then I realized it was from back in September…lol! So dumb… anyway… glad I didn't miss this one…

  5. For having limited supplies you made a sweet, sweet card Amy! LOVE that cute little squirrel and how he's holding onto the acorn! :0)

  6. Limitations don't seem to bother your creativity! Your sweet squirrel brought a smile to my face. I agree about the linen impression plate as its pattern adds the perfect bit of texture to finish a project.

  7. Wow! I didn't know that impression plate existed but it is definitely a keeper for adding texture to any cardstock! Your little squirrel with his thermos is darling~ and I love how you've used the colors from the inspiration photo.
