Scrapbook.com + Spellbinders Collaboration: Joy & Cheer

I’m so excited to be a part of a collaboration between Scrapbook.com + Spellbinders!  Today I’m sharing a project that uses the Spellbinders – Platinum 6 – Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and Building a Snowman Shapeabilities Die by Spellbinders.  In case you missed my earlier post, check it out HERE.

I gotta tell you that I love the Spellbinders – Platinum 6!  Why?  It’s a durable machine that also has a compact feature (photo one below is with the sides folded up, photo two below is with the sides down, ready for dies).  Regardless if I have the space on my desk for a die cutting machine, it’s generally covered in projects.  I always tuck my die cutting machine away in a shelf that is close to my work space.  I can still do that with the Platinum 6.  Don’t be deceived by the size, it’s a great, sturdy machine.

Let’s chat about projects, today I have a fun card that features the Deck the Halls Shapeabilities Die by Spellbinders.  I die cut it in traditional black cardstock.  Let’s start at the bottom and work our way to the thop.  The pattern paper I used is American Crafts/Shimelle/Christmas Magic.  I used Distress Oxides to add some color to the text layer.  The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio’s Joy and Cheer stamp set.  It has been heat embossed in Hero Arts white.

The christmas tree die cut has been adhered directly to the text panel.  The santa is actually on foam adhesives for visual interest.   It add a nice bit of POP to the card.
A big shout out to Scrapbook.com + Spellbinders!

  1. Beautiful! I don't know how to explain this, but there is a modern and, at same time, a retro feel to your card… and I just love it!
