I couldn’t wait to get started and decided to combine the Hero Arts Busy As A Bee set with the Color Layering Poppy set.
To really let that bee be the star of the show, I surrounded him with reds, making his yellow POP.  I inked up the Honeycomb Stencil with Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber.  The Color Layering Poppy has been inked up with:

Can you spy the smidge of glitter on the bee wings?  This card has been been narrowed to 3.75 inches by 5.5 inches.

Here are a couple fun bee facts:

Honeybees are responsible for pollinating approx 80% of all fruit, vegetable and seed crops in the U.S.

Bees communicate with each other by dancing and by using pheromones (scents).

Honeybees never sleep!

  1. Amy, your card is GORGEOUS!!! Love the colors you used on your card, design… and that little bee is so cute. :o) Thank you so much for joining the hop. :o) xx

  2. Oh this is so pretty. I love it. I have a lavender bush and orange tree in my yard. I also have a bee hive hidden away in my stucco fence. I have to make sure the kids don't go to that part of the yard. Small price to pay for all that the bees do for us.

  3. Great card, Amy! Love how you've positioned the bee directly onto the flower. It's their favorite spot I suppose. Let's hope to see them there more often again. :o)

  4. Such a pretty card 🙂 love the stencil work. Thanks for supporting this important cause.
