I did a call out for anyone that wanted to join in an instagram hop this month to feature the iconic Hero Arts Big Owl.

Leave comments over on Instagram by Monday, September 30th at 5 am for a chance to win a $20 Hero Arts Gift Card. One winner will be randomly picked from across all the comments left on each of the participating designer’s instagram posts. The winner will be announced on the @woodblockwednesday IG sometime on September 30th.

Here’s how I was inspired by today’s hop:

My project features the following woodblock stamps:

  • Big Owl – Hero Arts [retired]
  • Absolutely Awesome – Hero Arts [retired]

I love how my project turned out. I do have to #keepthingsreal and let you know that it went through MANY transformations. This is actually the 2nd Big Owl image I colored. BTW, do you notice my vintage paper cutter? I picked it up at a shop in Central Washington last week. My friend, a non-papercrafter spotted it for me!!!! It really helped tone down the orangey warm hues in my photography. This is when I also tell you that a papercrafter friend asked me if it works. LOL, I still haven’t tried it out. I knew that I wanted to use it more for a photography prop than for papercrafting.

Some of my other supplies:

  • Crane Wishes bundle – Hero Arts [flowers]
  • Nesting Circle Infinity Dies – Hero Arts
  • Lucky Day Shaker Beads – Pretty Pink Posh
  • Gold Mini Heart Confetti – Pretty Pink Posh

Everything is stamped with Lawn Fawn’s Crunchy Leaf ink.
