Definitely my least favorite cards to make are sympathy. I’ve been meaning to design one for a crafty friend of mine but never know where to start.
I challenged myself to use the Color Throwdown’s current challenge:
I don’t tend to gravitate to Navy but I’ve been playing with blues more often this year. Okay so it’s only January 18th but I’ve already posted blue projects on 4 different days:
Traditionally sympathy cards tend to be florals, or that’s how I think of them. I decided to combine the following Papertrey Ink products:
- Just Sentiments – Thinking of You
- Witches Brew
- Brew To Go
The stars are from the Witches Brew set and they been stamped on Stampin’ Up Smoky Slate with Concord & 9th – Dove Ink. The pattern paper is by Honey Bee Stamps – Gingham Galore – Holiday. At the time I’m writing this post, the Gingham Galore is only $2.50 at Honey Bee Stamps.
The lid was screaming for ribbon, it fit perfectly. The taffeta grey was in my stash and it is lovely.
Guess what? Papertrey Ink is having a SALE:
