Gingerbread Card Duo | Ellen Hutson LLC – Anniversary

They sent me a package of goodies to play with, you may have seen my earlier project with the Cozy Cuppa set HERE. I’m back with another project using the same set, but in a different way:

I used the adorable gingerbread image to create this card duo.

I used the same design for both of my cards but changed up the mood with the base panels, white versus kraft.  This kraft based one has a more cozy feel. 

• I doubled up one of the Modern Tags and used the gingerbread designer die. 
• Using a direct to paper inking method, I inked up the white panel with Catherine Pooler’s Wintergreen ink.
• With the help of a Mini MISTI I inked up the gingerbread image with embossing ink and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Gold embossing powder.
• The sentiment from – It’s Christmastime  has been heat embossed with gold on a FarmHouse Tag.
• The card was finished off with a twine bow.

I went with gold embossing to coordinate with the kraft cardstock.

Next up is this version:

It’s the same design as the card absolve but without the kraft base and strip. 

• With the help of a Mini MISTI I inked up the gingerbread image with embossing ink and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White embossing powder.
• The sentiment from – It’s Christmastime has been heat embossed with white on a FarmHouse Tag.
• The card was finished off with white thread.
