Here we go!  I’ve designed two cards especially for today’s hop!

Let’s chat about the Friend card first.  If you’ve been following for any amount of time, you know that I generally work with copics.  I gravitate to the pale pastels.  I stretch my creativity and used colored pencils for this project.

The draw for me about colored pencils is working with colored cardstock.  I stamped and heat embossed the Friend stamp onto a pebble colored cardstock.

Whew, I tell you, colored pencils is a workout.  I just used a Prismacolor set.  You can’t really tell but my pebble panel has been mounted onto a leaf panel.

I really love how the blue in Friend really pops.

Here’s my other card that uses the same Pebble cardstock but this time I used copics.

I teamed up the Simple Blooms Stamp Set with the Social Distance Stamp Set.  This is clean and simple and really makes those gorgeous blooms the start of the show.  LOVE that sentiment!

Next up is the awesome Carly Tee Minner!

  1. Lovely cards. I really like the layout and coloring of your work. Super floral sets to work with. Love them all.

  2. Well you make pastel look like the cool kid, that's for sure. Those soft pinks and grays in your second card have me crushing HARD. And since sunflowers are the official flower of North Dakota, your first design instantly brought a big smile to my face.

  3. Such soft loveliness! And you are so right about color pencils – anything beyond some finishing details at the very end is a major workout!!

  4. The background of people w the softly colored double flowers is my favorite Amy. Makes me want to relax and feel so contented. Awesome!!!! Thanks 😊

  5. The coloring is fantastic – so
    delicate and light. Beautiful
    cards. thanks for sharing
