Reverse Confetti Spring Fling Blog Hop with My Sweet Petunia

I’m so excited to be a part of the Reverse Confetti + My Sweet Petunia Spring Fling Blog Hop!

There will be two lucky commenters from the hop to win one of two prizes: a $60 shopping spree at www.mysweetpetunia.com and a $60 shopping spree at www.reverseconfetti.com – you must leave your comment no later than Sunday, March 25th, at 11:59 PM Central time and winners will be announced on Tuesday March 27th, on the Reverse Confetti and My Sweet Petunia blogs.

I’m the start of the hop, so let’s get this party started!  Here’s a peek at my project I made especially today:

I’ve started a card basket that I’ll fill with cards to gift to my Momma for Mother’s Day!

I know that I’m not the only one that has an Original MISTI + Mini MISTI.  I use them whenever I stamp and can’t imagine my life without them.

Let’s chat about my tag, it is the Dashed Line Tag, cut in Lime Green.  I layered the My Sunshine set + coordinating confetti cuts on it.  Reverse Confetti stamps hold and stamp ink wonderfully, but I always like to see things stamped out, I might decide that I want it darker which is a snap because when you use the MISTI all you need to do is just ink up the image again.
I used Coral and Bellini inks on the sunrays.  The center has been stamped in Buttercup.  I generally like to ink up the edges of images where the sentiment is white space, it brings out the sentiment.

Here’s one of the two cards that I made to start off my Momma’s supply.

The Large Diamond Cover Panel has been cut in Piggy Bank and Buttercup.  I made sure to say all the diamond bits.  I originally was going to design one card but figured since I had the ingredients for a second, why not.  I could have just layered a Buttercup panel behind the Piggy Bank Large Diamond Cover Panel but I had all the bits to add and love the one panel look.

I adore the Tall Blooms set!  The blooms have been stamped in Midnight ink and watercolored.  I was happy to see that the sentiment form the Honey Bear set seemed to be a perfect fit.

My last card basically uses the same design but different cardbase colors:
I decided to scoot things over to the right side of the card.  The sentiment is from the Tall Blooms set.

I generally eyeball things first using my Mini MISTI:
As you might have noticed, I scooted things down a bit to conserve paper.  I do save cardstock/pattern paper bits for all my design teams.

I just recovered the magnets with some fun washi tape (thanks Novell!).   That makes it a bit easier when they attach themselves together.  The bar magnets are definitely on my wish list.

My Springy color palette was inspired by:

Up next is the awesome Ilina Crouse!  In case you get lost along the way, here’s the entire hop listing:
Amy Tsuruta 💚
I’m looking forward to hopping and soaking up all of the fabulous inspiration!
