May Guest Designer: Color Throwdown – Happy Birthday

I’m so excited to be a May Guest Designer for Color Throwdown!  I’m a huge fan of their challenge!  Check out this week’s inspiration:

I went totally literal with the colors and inspiration photo:

Let’s start at the bottom and work our way up…the cardbase is approx 3.75 x 4.75 inches.  I made it smaller to let the balloons POP.  The base has been dry embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woven embossing folders.  The Avery Elle Elle-ments Balloons have been die cut from Hero Arts Sea Mix Layering and Blush Mix Layering Papers.  I used the Hero Arts Floral Mix Layering Paper with the Impress Happy Birthday Circle Die.

The dry embossing is a great contrast to the clean + simple balloons.

Such a fun challenge!  We hope you join along too:  Once you’ve finished your card or other paper-crafted project, add a direct link to your creation using the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of the Color Throwdown post. And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD441 if you upload your project to an online gallery, or hashtag on social media with #ctd441 and/or #colorthrowdown.

Challenge guidelines are in the right sidebar on the Color Throwdown Challenge Blog in case you have any questions.

Make sure you check out the fabulous Color Throwdown team…
