Hero Arts July My Monthly Hero: World Wildlife Foundation

This month’s kit features a gorgeous ocean theme, with jellyfish, octopus and sea turtles, and lots of coral. Hero Arts is going to donate 10% of profits for our July 2016 MMH Kit to ocean preservation through the World Wildlife Foundation.

You should have arrived here from the fabulous Yana’s blog!  If not, you’ll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the Hero Arts blog!
The main kit is MH0716 My Monthly Hero July 2016. The kit contains:

A large 6×8 stamp set
Matching Frame Cuts dies
Ombré Dolphin ink pad **
Lucy’s Sequins Mermaid mix, made exclusively for Hero Arts
2 half sheets of Aqua Lagoon metallic cardstock
2 half sheets of Silver Swirl text weight paper
** The Ombré Dolphin ink pad is brand new and inspired by the Pantone Color(s) of the Year, a pink to blue spectrum. It is exclusive to the kit through 2016.

The kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone.

There are four optional add-on items:

AF365 Ombré Mermaid add-on (this one is blue to purple)

I had so much fun with this month’s kit…LOVE the nautical theme!  Here’s a peek at both of my cards that I made especially for today’s hop:
First up is my shaker card!  Isn’t the shaker mix by Lucy absolutely fabulous?  I’ll start from the bottom of my card and work my way up!  I used Midnight Layering paper that I stamped the Irregular Grid Bold Prints in Wet Cement Shadow Ink

I used Mint Julep + Tide Pool on the Jelly Fish.  The sentiment has been stamped with Wet Cement.  I did a quick watercolor wash with my Peerless watercolors.  The seam binding ribbon is from my stash.

Next up is a Go with the Flow card:

For those of you that have been following me for awhile, yes, I’ve warmed up to purple!  I used the Waves Stencil in Pool.  I used Intense Black for the sentiment.  I stamped the Octo and the Turtle with the Dolphin Ombre pad…isn’t it AWESOME?

I used Floral Mix Layering papers for the strips on the side.

Now hippety hop over to Clare’s blog!  In case you get lost along the way, here’s the complete hop listing:

Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop.  Make sure you comment along the way!
