Hero Arts: May My Monthly Hero

This month’s kit was inspired by Jennifer McGuire and her wonderful Share Handmade Kindness campaign. The kit contains everything you need to say thank you, make someone’s day or spread a little kindness. The stamps and die were all designed by our wonderful Kelly Rasmussen, as well as the super fun backer card that’s included in the kit – the card can be cut up and used to spread even more kindness!

You should have arrived here from the awesome, Joan Barbee’s blog!  If not, you’ll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the Hero Arts blog!

The kit contains:

A 4×6 clear stamp set
A gift card envelope die
Four half sheets of cardstock in tiffany blue and green apple
Four half sheets of vellum in turquoise and iridescent white
Ten white tags
.5 oz silver embossing powder
Gray twine
Gems

There are 2 optional add-on items –

Okay, let’s get started, shall we?  I have 3 projects to share with you today!

First up is a card that features the add-on thank you die and a sentiment from the stamp set from the kit.  I used silver embossing powder on white vellum.  I used the Wave Pattern Background stamp in Tide Pool shadow ink.
Next up is a tall + skinny card that uses repetitive stamping.  I used the Hello + Be Kind from the optional add-on, Happy Mail set.   Green, I love Green!  I added a bit of sparkle with a gold glitter strip of card stock.

I’m a HUGE fan of gift cards and LOVE the new Gift Card Envelope die!  Here’s the front of my project.  I wanted to go for a tone-on-tone with a splash of black!

This is the back which uses a combo of the kit stamp set + the optional add-on, Happy Mail set.

Finally, here is the interior…of course it contains a Starbucks gift card!

Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop.

The kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Now hippety hop over to the wonderful Lydia Fiedler’s blog.  In case you get lost along the way, here is the complete hop listing:

  37. I love circles and I don't know why I do. It's my favorite shape. There is a song that goes "The world is a circle without a beginning and nobody knows how the circle ends." I'm sure there is more to the song but for right now that is the only verse I can think of. I love all of your cards. They are not fussy but they sure look like it took you sometime to make. I hope whoever gets them appreciates them. I know I would.

  38. WOW… Amy, your cards are amazing! Love each of them. Totally perfect for gift card 🙂

  39. You made so many beautiful projects. Thanks for sharing!

  40. Love the combination of wave pattern background stamp in tide pool ink, feels so carefree and summery! Thank you for sharing your great cards ;D
