celebrate autumn

Autumn…it is my favorite season of the year.

The Pacific Northwest has been having an unusually warm summer.  Definitely not what I signed up for…I love the PNW for the mild weather we typically have.

Anyways, when I design with apples, I always think of Washington State.
cardstock:  pti kraft  other:  impress felt, dcwv felt, srm stickers/fall sentiment, project life americana, paper accents vellum, reverse confetti class act confetti cuts
Harvest of Washington apples begins in mid-August and generally ends in early November. Each year, Washington harvests over 100 million boxes of apples, each weighing about 40 pounds. (source)

The journal card is from Project Life Americana.

The apples have been die cut using Reverse Confetti’s apple die (class act) with the felt from Impress and the cork ala DCWV.

The sentiment is by SRM Stickers/Fall Sentiments.

  12. Oh, the felt apples are lovely and cozy, almost make me wish for Autumn. Sweet card.
    Hot weather must have moved to the USA, because our Summers are usually hotter than this year… I'm a Spring and Summer kind of girl, the lack of sunshine makes me feel a little bit sad… but I love the Autumn colors, they are stunning.

  27. So, so cute! Those apples are so sweet in felt and brilliant idea to use that little piece of cork for the stalk. I LOVE apples and luckily we grow and export alot here in Blenheim, New Zealand. My favourites are Royal Gala's but they don't come out till February, too long to wait!!
