papertrey ink august blog hop: let’s get together for some coffee!

The 25th of each month is the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

This is the inspiration:

Raspberry Fizz + Gold = ♡♡♡

So, rather than heat embossing the sentiment, I used Delicata GoldenGlitz ink.  I feel like this is a cleaner way to get a sharp look on the delicate font.

I incorporated the gold polkas by adding some washi to the bottom of the note card.

The envelope:

I wish I had an easy smeasy way to do envelope liners but I don’t so I decided to stamp the envelope with another coffee sentiment and swished it with, slightly diluted, Inka-Gold.  I love the added sheen!

I ended up making a set of 4 notecards with coordinating envelopes…perfect quick giftie!

Before you go, I wanted to also share my (forced) washi organization:
I was in search of my gold polka washi but didn’t remember if I might have 2 different styles.  I had a huge mountain of washi that I hadn’t put away so I just decided it was faster for me to organize everything, rather than dig.  I’m sure it wasn’t faster but I love how my washi looks.  I’ve spilled into another printer tray…I love washi…I probably love to look at it more than use it but I’m trying to break that habit.

I’m looking forward to all the inspiration from the blog hop!

  1. Fabulous card! Love the gold polka dots.
Organized Washi? Mine is tossed in a huge basket. I don't have room to store mine all nice and organized but love how you did yours.

  2. Love the gorgeous tray of washi! And your cards are perfect. Love how you shared the ink you used for the sentiment…I find it really hard to get delicate fonts to stamp well.

  3. Beautiful! LOVING that sentiment!! And loving how the washi organization looks!!!!!!

  4. So pretty with the gold, Amy! Love your take on the inspiration piece. Washi organization is looking awesome too!

  5. I really love your crisp and clean notecard set, Amy! The sentiment makes me smile, and I adore that gold polka dotty washi across the bottom. And how stinkin' cute are those envelopes, too!

  6. I want your tray of washi – much better than digging through a basket 🙂 Love the Delicata Gold ink on your card!

  7. Lovely card, so posh and elegant! And I absolutely love how you organize your washi tape! TFS! 🙂

  8. What a great notecard Amy and that washi tape is just gorgeous – you have one for every type of card I see!!!

  9. How fun is that washi tray! It was also fun to see how many of the same washi we share.
Your card is perfect, Amy. Need to bust out more of my washi for things like this. Thanks for the inspiration!

  10. Amy, this is beautiful!
And…WOW…I love how pretty all that washi-tape looks in that tray. It's just so inspiring to look at.

  11. Love the note card you made. It is such a great color combo. And the smoosh of gold on your envelope is just perfect. Super loving your tray of wash as well. It makes me smile.

  12. ok, i LOVED the cards but that gorgeous tray of washi has somehow managed to entirely distract me! gotta love a supply that can double as decor, right?! i totally NEED a printers tray (or two lol) STAT!!! 🙂

  13. Just love the simple perfection of this. And obviously I now need both a Delicata Gold ink pad as well as lots more washi tape.

  14. Yum! You had me with all the gold of course!

Your washi tape collection looks so pretty…mine are in Muji clear drawers…that are full. lol

  15. Yep, gold ink is better than embossing with those delicate fonts, I think. The note card set turned out wonderfully! Great idea to use a printer's tray for your washi too. They all look so cozy there : )

  16. So pretty Amy. Love the gold polka-dot strip on the bottom. The inside greeting looks great. I think I have the same problem with washi. Like to look at them more than use them…

  17. Where did you get that box? I always keep my eye out at Marshalls for stuff like that!! Delicious!
