neon happy birthday

Hello!

This card posted on the Neat & Tangled blog earlier this month but I also wanted to share it here on my blog:
cardstock:  stampin’ up  paper:  house of three, teresa collins  stamps:  neat & tangled photo booth  ink:  zing white embossing powder  other:  neat & tangled neon yellow sequins

I’m not sure why, but birthday cards are not my go-to cards to design.  I’m trying hard to have a stash of birthday cards because it always seems like I’m making them after the occasion.

This card uses the wonderful Photo Booth set:

The ‘sentiment girl’ in me loves this set but really, isn’t it fabulous.  The images are all fabulous.

I’m also a ‘neon girl’…I think it’s one of those things, people either love it or don’t.

How can you resist them?

So tell me, what are YOUR go-to cards that you love to make?

  1. Cool. Love the little bits of sequin..

Mine are Hello cards. I've a ton of those…and then I have to make a birthday card when I really need one…lol

  2. Fun card, Amy! My go-to cards are "hello" cards. I used to make a ton of thank-you cards, but found I had a massive stockpile, so I changed theme! πŸ™‚

  3. My go to cards are thank you cards and sympathy. Never seem to have birthday in my stash either. Not sure why! Love the black/white sentiment and the pop of sequin bling. This card is balanced perfectly

  4. Loveeeeee this! LOVING that paper!!! Hmmmmmmm …. I think lately my go to card has been CONGRATS and Thanks! πŸ™‚

  5. Adorable card Amy! Love those sequins. I love making Christmas and thank you cards πŸ™‚

  6. cool card.. love that paper you used.. it is always good to have a good selection of Birthday cards..

  7. Fabulous… I really should have more birthday and thank you cards, but somehow end up making random coffee tags, what are we going to do with me? Sequins would help…right?

  8. love it. Not sure what my go-to card is, probably birthday or thanks. I will say that sympathy cards are THE HARDEST for me!!

  9. So pretty Amy! I have a hard time with birthday cards too (unless they are for students in my class). I love to make 'just because' or any occasion ones.

  10. So very cute, Amy! I always think number print paper is SO perfect for birthdays. Love the pops of black on this one, and the neon yellow sequins are just pure fun!
I always tell myself to make more birthday and thank you cards, so that I have some on hand when needed…but I'm rarely ever that organized. πŸ˜‰

  11. A great design for a b'day card with all the numbers! I make mostly b'day cards because I sell cards at work and people seem to want b'day most often!

  12. This is so fun! Love the paper πŸ™‚
I think birthday cards tend to be my go-to because I sell more of them than anything, but I also love the 'just because' ones πŸ™‚

  13. Your pick on the pattern paper and combining them with the right stamps is mind blowing πŸ™‚ I love it

  14. Perfect paper; perfect stamp combination. You rocked this birthday card! My favorite go to = hellos or thank yous or thinking of yous, but I need to get the show on the road with birthdays (and soon, Halloween countdowns for the kiddos…)
    Hugs~c
