I’m excited to be a guest designer for the month of October for A Colorful Life Designs. I’ll be sharing projects throughout the next couple of weeks. Here’s how I was inspired today:
This is the A Colorful Life Designs product I used:
This is how I did the stenciling:
- I started off with an A2 panel of watercolor paper.
- I blended various Distress oxides in rainbow order.
- I stenciled the Mid Century Banners on top pouncing the Black Soot so it would be more opaque.
I used a shadow word sentiment. I ended up cutting through the black and stenciled panel. I didn’t like the stenciling showing through the vellum.
I’m really having fun experimenting, looking at stencils different and layering colors.
