I’m excited to be a guest designer for the month of October for A Colorful Life Designs. I’ll be sharing projects throughout the next couple of weeks. Here’s how I was inspired today:
This is the A Colorful Life Designs product I used:
I found this technique, Faded Water Stenciling, on Splitcoaststampers
This is how I did the stenciling:
- I started off with an A2 panel of watercolor paper.
- I blended Picked Raspberry on the top 1/3.
- I blended Aged Mahogany on the middle portion.
- I set the Mid Century Star Balls Stencil on top and blended using the Picked Raspberry and Aged Mahogany.
- Leaving the stencil in place, I spritzed the panel with water.
- I later spritzed the panel again and followed up with Worn Lipstick blending on the bottom 1/3 of the card panel.
I used the Honey Bee Stamps – Big Time Kindness stamps + die. They were both stamped in Picked Raspberry on watercolor paper.
I’m really having fun experimenting, looking at stencils different and layering colors.
