Hi | A Colorful Life Designs

Happy World Cardmaking Day! I’m excited to be a guest designer for the month of October for A Colorful Life Designs. I’ll be sharing projects throughout the next couple of weeks. Here’s how I was inspired today:

These are the A Colorful Life Designs products I used:

The definition of bauhaus? This is compliments of google:

Bauhaus style is a minimalist, modern design philosophy from early 20th-century Germany that emphasizes functionality, simplicity, and clean lines over ornamentation, often using geometric forms and modern industrial materials like steel and glass. The style’s core principle is “form follows function,” meaning an object’s design is determined by its purpose, and “less is more,” focusing on clarity and rational design in art, architecture, and everyday objects.

This is how I did the stenciling:

  • I started off with an A2 panel of watercolor paper.
  • Using the Waffle Flower Grip Mat, I stenciled the Bauhaus Poster Stencil in Distress Oxide – Worn Lipstick.
  • Keeping the Bauhaus Poster Stencil in place, I layered the Bauhaus Circle Mask on top of it. I stenciled it with Distress Oxide – Candied Apple.

I’m not going to lie, I literally held my breath when I removed the stencils. Super happy with the results. I finished my card off with the retired sentiment.

I’ll be back again next week featuring different products, stay tuned!
