Hello and Happy Saturday I’m excited to be up on the Spellbinders blog. I have a bit of a sneak peek of one of my three projects that I designed especially for today:

Make sure you check out the Spellbinders blog + Spellbinders Shop!

I wanted to go ahead and also create a new project to share on my blog today.

I had so much fun picking out colors for today’s card. Here’s my Spellbinders product list:

  • Falling Leaves Etched Dies from the Autumn Archives Collection by Kelly Bangs
  • Autumn Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set from the Autumn Archives Collection by Kelly Bangs

Other Spellbinders products:

  • Garnet BetterPress Ink from the Jet Set 4 pack
  • Dahlia ColorWheel cardstock
  • Bellini ColorWheel cardstock
  • Fern ColorWheel cardstock
  • Alabaster ColorWheel cardstock
  • Fawn ColorWheel cardstock

When I originally had all my pieces set in place, I felt like it needed something. I glammed up the larger acorns with a smidge of gold embossing.

Here’s how I layered up my card:

  • I started off with an A2 panel of Fawn ColorWheel Cardstock.
  • I trimmed down an Alabaster ColorWheel Cardstock panel and layered it on top of the Fawn.
  • I die cut all my pieces and figured out how I wanted them laid out.
  • I added the gold embossing by swiping my embossing pad onto the bottom of the acorn. I dusted it with gold embossing powder and then used my heat tool.
  • The sentiment was done with Alabaster and Garnet BetterPress Ink. It was adhered with foam strips.

My color palette is thanks to Color Throwdown.

The Bellini looks more pink than peachy in my photo.

A big thank you to Spellbinders for inviting me to be a guest designer on their blog!
