This month the Stay Crafty Challenge at a Blog Named Hero is: We Are Family, any card for a family member. My first challenge card this month used Ralph Tyndall’s Game Boy set.

Here’s how I was inspired today:

Today I’m featuring the Hero Arts:

  • HA + RT Interactive Eight-Ball | stamps + fancy dies
  • Ocean Waves | Bold Prints

I adore this new collaboration with Ralph Tyndall!

I used the following Hero Hues Core Ink:

  • Deep Ocean

I highly recommend watching Ralph’s YouTube on the Interactive 8-Ball Assembly. He has some great tips! Here are a couple of mine so you can learn what not do do:

  • Make sure that when you adhere your Interactive Eight-Ball onto your cardbase that you make note of the CIRCLE in the base panel. Sigh, I was in a hurry and covered it with adhesive which makes so that the interactive element does not MOVE.
  • When I was repairing my card from the above mistake, I decided to go ahead and back the white inactive piece with another one, making it double thick. This will keep the lever sturdier than just one ply.

Check out this month’s challenge HERE. There are TWO $50 Hero Arts Gift Cards up for grabs!

I can’t wait to see how you’re inspired.
