Celebrate – Hip, Hippo, Hooray!

Plaid + Hippos = Yes, Please!  I had so much fun with the MFT Happy Hippo set!  Those guys make ME happy!

I whipped up this card for my friend Novell…today’s her birthday!  She’s kinda my birthday twin even though we don’t share the same birthday…LOL.  We love to swap Mom stories, as in about our own mother’s.  You’d understand if you grew up with an asian mother, I’m sure my own kids would love to share stories about me.

Isn’t that celebrate font fabulous?  It’s been cut from Stampin’ Up (sadly retired) Crisp Cantaloupe.  Do you see the ‘sprinkles’ on the cupcakes?  They’re Iridescent Star Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.  The scalloped border is from PPP too!

I love the MFT Subtle Plaid paper pad, doesn’t it look awesome with the Crisp Cantaloupe and pops of green?

I’m an adhesive-aholic.  I’m always on the lookout for new stuff.  I picked up the On Point Glue from Impress and LOVE that stuff…make adhering the ‘sprinkles’ on the cupcakes a breeze!

My card was inspired by Fusion Card Challenge:

  1. O M Garshness this is adorable… I keep looking at those hippos and I realize I don't have ANY hippo stamps… well… maybe one… but that's probably not enough .. and I also realized I think I need that PPP die set and well… plaid.

  2. Never thought of Hippos as adorable before, but this trio is too darn cute 🙂 Love every detail of your card, Amy!

  3. I can't wait to get hold of that hippo set – so sweet! They look gorgeous in those soft pastel shades. Thanks for playing along with Fusion this week!
