Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero

The September My Monthly Hero kit features a gorgeous Fall theme!  We’re celebrating with a blog hop!  You should have arrived here from my May Park’s blog!  If not, you’ll want to start at the beginning which is the Hero Arts blog!

The Main Kit:

The kit contains:
A set of three Fancy Dies designed for building your own wreath
A 4×6 clear stamp set
Ten coordinating Frame Cuts dies
Three ink cubes in Mustard, Rust and Deep Burgundy
Six half sheets of cardstock in Kraft, Sunset Orange and Metallic Copper
Custom Freckled Fawn Enamel Dots in red
Brown gems
Brown and Natural Jute twines

The kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Option add-on products include:

Let’s get started, I have 3 cards to share with you today.  I decided to focus on the three themes:

Fall
Halloween
Christmas

First up is my Fall themed card.  I used the products from the main kit:

I decided to try a different color combo than I would ordinarily gravitate to.  I picked:

The leaves and the sentiment are from the stamp set from the main kit.  I combined the Soft Purple and Butter Bar shadow inks on the leaves.  The ‘many’ has been stamped in Butter Bar and the ‘thanks’ has been stamped with the Ombre Autumn ink pad.  Do you notice the Floral Mixed Layering Paper strip on the left side of the card?  I used a clear block and scribbled some ink from a Zig Clean Color marker that coordinated with Butter Bar and painted my stripes on the Ranger Watercolor panel.  The circle tag and twine are from my stash.

What do you think of the colors?

Next up is my Halloween card using the Halloween Trimmings Stamp & Cut set:

Lovin’ the big ole Happy Halloween sentiment, how about you?  It’s been heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I’m a big fan of making my own pattern paper by using various strips of colored cardstock.  This one uses the Sunshine Mixed Layering Papers…just say Yes to Candy Corn!

My final card uses the option add-on Merry Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut set:
I decided to do a monochromatic card with a pop of red!  The circle die (from my stash) has been stamped with branches + berries from the Merry Christmas Trimmings stamp set.  The berries have been heat embossed in white.  The branches have been stamped with Wet Cement Shadow ink.  All the paper is from the Midnight Mixed Layering Paper.  The Merry Christmas has been cut from the Blush Mixed Layering Paper.

Do you see the base layer?  It’s been stamped with the Holiday Floral Bold Prints that was recently released in the 2016 Winter Catalog.  Isn’t it a beauty?  Love all the details.  It has also been stamped with Wet Cement Shadow ink.

In case you missed my earlier Countdown to Creativity post, here’s a card that uses the beautiful wreath dies:

We are giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop!

Next up in the hop is one of our Hero Arts special guests, Laura Bassen!
