Hero Arts: National Ice Cream Month

In case you haven’t heard, July is National Ice Cream Month!  No surprises but my favorite ice cream is coffee…THIS is my favorite Ben & Jerry’s.  Mmmmm….I want ice cream now!  Let’s get to my card, shall we?!  One of my favorite summer time colors is Hero Arts’ Tide Pool…team it up with charcoal and it’s a winner in my book!

Let’s start with the base and work our way up.  I used a charcoal base and clear heat embossed the Glasses Bold Prints.  Such a fun background, love how it looks stamped in Versamark and clear heat embossed!

The Pool Mix Layering papers = one of my favorite collections.  The colors are sooo pretty!  Love how you can stamp other colors and they look perfect.   Check out the Color Layering Ice Cream cone!  I started with Soft Vanilla and layered Soft Brown on top.  The ice cream scoop is Tide Pool with Versamark + clear embossing powder.

A postal friendly card with a ton of texture, gotta love that!

Another busy weekend in store….yesterday was spent with the kids.  We had brunch at this cute restaurant called The Fat Hen:

The wait was worth it, everything was delish!

Have a great day!

  1. OH so delish – and I'm not talking about that gorgeous meal! [though I'm still waiting for the dipping action] I had THE best little cup of goodness recently: watermelon sorbet!!! Just what Dr. Coolmeoff ordered!

  2. Such a cute card! I love that color combo, and the ice cream is super fun. Really smiling over the background, too….. all those glasses…. too cute!

  3. Mmmmm….ice cream….. Delicious card, Amy. The Tide Pool is most definitely a perfect summer color, and I do love it with the gray. The clear embossed sunglasses just add that bit of 'wow' without overtaking the ice cream cone. Sweet card!! Bev

  4. Oh I love the fun sunglass background and the pretty colors you used. It is hot and humid right now so I could go for some ice cream!! Great design.

  5. We don't have a National ice cream month, but I could savor some ice cream everyday in a month… it's kind of the same thing, right :)? Love the color combo and the fun background!
Yum, looks like a great brunch!

  6. Oh my….your breakfast looks simply yummy! Wish I lived closer…Your card is so sweet…love your ice cream cone and your embossed glasses, so sweet.

  7. I never know how many posts I will have to catch up on when I miss a few days, Amy! I was totally wiped out after painting the guest bathroom and having the grandkids and kids here this weekend. Love the glasses in the background of your card!
