stories of stamps, paper and… : carbs, schmarbs

So I was up on the

blog

I was showing my phone wallpaper

and how I translated it to a card:
cardstock:  stampin’ up strawberry slush/crisp cantaloupe/blushing bride/pink pirouette/ and calypso coral  stamps:  stampin’ up yippee-Skippee!  ink:  stampin ‘up white embossing powder
Cardstock…I love cardstock.

I generally always seem to incorporate patterned paper into my designs so it was fun to go back to the basics.

This is a SUO card {stampin’ up only}, I bought the Yippee-Skippee! set specifically for the carbs sentiment ๐Ÿ™‚  I mean, seriously, isn’t it true?

  1. You are so right, that sentiment is worth buying the set for!! You don't need anything else with it! You do basics so well, Amy : )

  2. Ha ha ha! Hilarious card! And such a great design! Loooooooove that the inspiration came from your phone! How inspiring!

  3. Such a fun card! This would make a great set of cards because you can use the design for pretty much any occasion!

  4. So pretty! Love the panels of pretty colours! ๐Ÿ™‚
P/s: Now I don't feel so bad for eating the carrot cake yesterday. I so need the stamp set…lol

  5. HA! yes! this is pretty much my life motto: EAT THE CAKE, lol, i am ON IT!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ (love love love the ombre cardstock layers; what a great card!) ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. I love this card – the sentiment is just perfect! I love how you took your phone wallpaper for inspiration and turned it into a card. That would be a fun phone case too! ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Hahahaha…love this sentiment. In fact, I indulge in said sentiment often! Craving cake right this minute! Your colorful layers: fabulous. I need carstock, but I'm a bit of a card-stock snob, preferring 100-11- pound over anything else. Nowhere nearby to pick any up…sighhh….Any suggestions of who has the 'best' for ordering online? Recommendations, appreciated, please and thank you (SU, maybe?)
    Hugs~c

  8. Ack! I really do have to get to bed. I was just going to "look" at the rest of your cards, but I just HAD to comment on this one. Love the colors and that sentiment…totally worth buying the set just for that. Ha! I'm still smiling and chuckling about it. And on to more serious matters, you are truly blowing me away with the variety of colors and products and papers and styles and techniques you've been using lately. I'm so in awe tonight. Like I said before, it's about all I can do to keep myself from making a mad dash to my craft supplies.
