baby, it’s cold outside

Adding 2 more cards to my Christmas card pile…
cardbase:  american crafts  cardstock:  stampin’ up cherry cobbler/pretty in pink  stamps:  reverse confetti/seasonal sentiments  ink:  gold embossing powder, wplus9 white  other: japanese book, dcwv cork
I actually started with a completely different design, worked on it much too long and it ended up in the recycle bin.  Don’t you hate it when that happens?

I’ve had that MFT Poinsettia die set since last year but never used it.  I’m definitely going to make more cards using that die, I really love the detail work on the leaves.  On the pink version, I inked up the leaves with white ink to soften the color.

Yup, still having fun with the japanese book pages.

  1. What sweet cards, Amy, I love the Japanese writing in the background. Your Poinsettia die cuts do have a lot of detail, looks like you are moving right along with Christmas cards, 70 that is a lot to do! My friend in south Austin said she got 4 1/2" yesterday, I think we got that as well. It sure was nice, I know you have rain all the time and you think it gets old, but I will never think that way again as we will be the ones to run out. Have a beautiful week, glad you are off for most of it…lots of crafting, right? Happy Sunday!

  2. These cards are really lovely! Those Japanese prints are stunning in the background. Thanks for sharing this awesome design!
