you make life sweet

post 1 of 2 for today…click HERE for Curtain Call Reminder:  Lovely Leaves

Hello!

I’ve been crafting at a much slower pace these days.  It isn’t that my mojo is lacking, it’s that I have been overwhelmed with so much inspiration these days.  It’s overload on my poor crafty brain.

Here’s a clean & simple card:
cardstock:  neenah  paper:  teresa collins/something wonderful  stamps:  jane’s doodles/life is good  ink:  memento/tuxedo, copics various  other:  divine twine/black licorice, chickaniddy crafts/enamel heart, impress washi
Simple doesn’t pertain to the lack of time, check out all that masking and coloring!

I’m a long time fan of Jane’s Doodles:

  1. You're right, that is NOT such a simple card. Excellent job, masking your jar of strawberries. And I love the aqua vs more traditional green. Keeps it soft and sweet.

  2. Such a cute CAS card! And I know what you mean about inspiration overload.. Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed with such great inspiration I end up taking longer to craft. Glad I'm not the only one! <3

  3. Love the colors on this one!! The stamped jar is so fun and I like how you created the tag with vellum. Adorable!!

  4. Sweet, sweet card! The tag on the jar is so cool! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  5. Catching up here Amy, oh so busy these days and nights! Love this card as well, that is a great jar stamp!

  6. Just fantastic, Amy! Love the clean lines and that adorable jar! Glad to see you this week at FMS!

  7. This card is charming! I love the soft colors – and the vellum so we can see all of those sweet berries. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  8. Hi Amy. Long time no see… Love your simple design (I sure need a mason jar stamp in my life), but technically complex card. I hope you'll agree with my definition :). It's true that simple doesn't always mean easy peasy.

  9. Inspiration overload: YES!! I'm totally afflicted with that, and the net result: crafting paralysis, mainly because too many ideas means zippo focus. Then nothing works! Gahhh…good to hear I'm not alone in said issue! Your card here: beautiful! It looks cas, but getting those berries canned took major work, I know! So sweet!!

  10. I'm suffering from the opposite at the moment…I have one card challenge that I'm determined to enter but all of my ideas have failed..its even keeping me awake at night!! I think you've done the perfect card for the Monday Blues challenge. Those strawberries look delicious and love the strip of silver glitter tape. Its perfection!!

  11. I knew you wouldn't be able to resist the mason jar-ness of the inspiration image, hee hee! Love the delicious strawberries content – that's some serious masking! Thanks so much for playing to find a Cure For The Monday Blues!
