Case Study 199: happy birthday

post 1 of 2 for me…click HERE for my Whisker Graphics project.
…and I’m back with Week 2 Guesting over at CASE Study!

In case you missed it last week, I’m guesting along with Awesome Tenia Nelson!  This month’s muse is the FABulous  Shari Carroll!

Here’s this week’s inspiration:
I know, so much goodness, eh?

This is how I was inspired:
cardstock:  stampin’ up river rock, pti white  paper:  crate paper party day, dear lizzy 5th & frolic  stamps:  sweet stamp shop easily distracted  ink:  fresh ink red currant  other:  mft peek-a-boo trio, studio calico wood veneer stars

I could have easily CASEd the circle panel with my cameo, which is very dusty, but I reached for my trusty Cuttlebug.  I knew I wanted to start with the MFT Peek-a-boo Trio.  My base is a skinny card, Stampin’ Up River Rock.

I used various neutral papers from Crate’s Party Day and Dear Lizzy’s 5th & Frolic.

For a pop of color I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from Sweet Stamp Shop’s Easily Distracted set.

The top circle paper was picked especially for my boy who will be celebrating his 17th birthday on Saturday:

How can that be?  My baby is going to be 17?!!

Time has definitely flown by.  He was my calm baby….who then turned into a spirited toddler and is currently still a young man with oodles of energy!

He’s always quick with a smile….quick to make his Momma laugh….hard…

THIS Momma will be so proud if he ends up going to one of his out of state colleges of choice.  We recently travelled to NY so he could check out 4 of them.  The pic above is him on the Brooklyn Bridge.  He knows what he wants to study and anyone that knows him will say that he will succeed in whatever he puts his mind to…THIS Momma will also be super sad to see her baby leave but my heart will always be filled with love and an enormous amount of pride for what I know he will accomplish.

Thanks for letting me go all teary eyed…
